Game Vision Statement

Here in this blog, I am here to try my best in giving you guys a game vision statement within my game creation. First thing is first so, what is a game vision statement?.

game design vision statement, also known as the vision document, is basically the so called “elevator pitch” of a game. It is contained with all the primary goals you have for the game, refined on paper. Having a vision statement for a game helps create the motivation and end result that people are striving for.

Vision

Why is it important?

  • It gives clarity for the main goals in the game.
  • Gives focus for all the future design decisions.
  • You can easily communicate the designs with other people.
  • It helps make sure that everyone is speaking the same language and is moving towards the same goal.
  • It is a great thing to pitch your game to people who are interested.

Game Genre

The game genre with this "Car n' Hills game I am creating is a racing video game. The racing video game genre is a genre of video games, either in the first-person or third-person perspective. Racing games may also fall under the category of sports gamesIn a case where the player of the game takes part in a racing competition or just an ordinary on any type of land, water, caves or vehicles. These things are usually sometimes based on anything from the real-life racing to anything from a fantasy like settings.

Sub-genre

Karting
This game I am making is also associated with the kart racing games. They have a simplified version of their driving mechanics as they add different types of obstacles, unusual designs of tracks and many types action elements. Kart racers are also known to cast characters known from various platform games or cartoon television series as the drivers of "wacky" vehicles. Kart racing games are a more arcade-like experience than other racing games and usually offer modes in which player characters can shoot projectiles at one another or collect power-ups. Typically, in such games, vehicles move more alike go-karts, lacking anything along the lines of a gear stick and clutch pedal.

Gameplay

What is this Hill Climb Racing spinoff (Car n' Hills)?

Hill Climb Racing is the racing game designed by Fingersoft Company in 2012 and is a 2D based video game where, the player controls a driver across hilly terrains, collecting coins along the way and spending them on vehicular upgrades while being careful of the driver's head as well as the vehicle's fuel supply. The main character is called Newton Bill. The object of Hill Climb Racing is to drive as far through the racing stages as possible while collecting coins and being careful with the uneven hill shape, using only two simple controls: the Gas and Brake pedals. When driving in midair, pressing these pedals will instead cause the vehicle to rotate, allowing the player to control the angle with which they land. Fuel is refilled by picking up gas canisters or batteries along the way. Basically all you have to do is careful drive as far as you can without any complications.

1.How to Play

As you may not have known or noticed on the bottom left and right sides you have pedals. One is called "Brake" and the other one "Gas". You have to be careful because you have to balance the vehicle all the time and make sure to not kill the driver or the game will be over.

2. How do I get coins?

The coins are waiting for you on the "road" and as you may notice if you go further you will earn more coins. You can see your progress on top of the left side of your screen. That's the first method, another one is to reach the stage level and you will be rewarded. The more levels you complete, the more coins you will earn.

3. How do I balance the vehicle while driving?

It's very simple to do that but also you have to be very careful when doing it. Would you hold Brake or Gas. You have to try using them as the same time or seconds before and after to steading your vehicle not making it flip over.

4. Why is the vehicle not moving?

If this happens the maybe you either died or your vehicle has run out of fuel. To less the chance of dying you have to make sure you are able to balance the vehicle in a right way.  Let's just say that if you die your vehicle will stop moving and if you run out of fuel the same thing will happen.

Did you know?

Did you know?
Crashing Race (1976) was the first game to include car combat. The game was slower than other racing games back then due to the hardware limitations, making the developers to use a go-kart theme for the game. Since then, over 50 kart racing games have been released, featuring characters from Nicktoons to Mario.

  3. Hey Tochi, really cool blog you got here love your game idea. The way you described it was clear and easy to understand which was great to read. I like the fact that your going with the racing game that is in third/first person view. I wonder if your game will have a back story, I am not sure if hill climb racing has a story behind it but maybe that would be a cool thing that you could implant into this game. I love that your demonstrating how you want the game to work but I wonder if you could add tutorials on the first level for new players on this type of genre. Just add same hints on how to play the game and what to do. But overall I really enjoyed your blog and best of luck with the game
